After I completed the 42nd Street Studio Series in 1980 I was obsessed with my next project, Wetlands.  From an inner city environment I could only be inspired by emersion in nature.  I was called back to 42nd Street to photograph the "New" 42nd Street erotic entertainers who were transsexuals.  Reluctant to enter the city environment again I was surprised to find my models uplifting in their view of life and it's possibilities.  Personally they helped me become more aware of myself as a woman.
